Summary (brief)
-Edward Prendick is stranded on the island inhabited by Dr. Moreau. Moreau vivisects animals into human-like creatures called the Beast Folk, who struggle to maintain their humanity under a strict code. They ultimately lose their humanity though. The idea that you can just sew a bunch of different animals together and make them human shaped instills them with humanity is crazy work.
